FAQ

  1. Statler Center prepares people with physical disabilities and/or visual impairments for exciting careers in the hotel/travel/tourism business.
  2. Our placement department helps you find a job that gives great pay, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.
  3. Job possibilities include: front desk clerks, reservations agents, customer service representatives, switchboard operators, and many, many more.
  4. The Statler program meets Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm for 10 weeks; the STEP program is 7 weeks.
  5. We offer three class sessions per year; students can begin their training in the January, May, or August session.
  6. Statler Center provides computer training in the latest technology and software programs, whether or not you have experience working with computers.
  7. An externship is built into the program, giving students a chance to see firsthand what it is like to work in the hotel/travel/tourism industry.
  8. Staff members are experienced working with people with different disabilities--we’re here to help you succeed.
  9. Guest speakers who work within the business, and instructors from local colleges and universities, will give you the skills and training you need to succeed.
  10. Interested students need to have a High School diploma or GED.
