We are picking up office waste from both commercial enterprises and governmental agencies. Depending on client needs we offer two programs: shred and recycle or whole paper recycling. All documents requiring destruction are held in secure, locked totes, transported to our facility, shredded by our blind, visually impaired and multiply disabled employees, and the shredded paper is then sent for recycling. This ensures the complete and certified destruction of all personal and private data.
This program not only furthers our mission of employing the visually impaired, it saves our clients money, and takes our “green initiative” outside our walls. As we have set up shredding and paper recycling programs for clients, analysis has shown that most office waste is paper. Most organizations are paying waste haulers to dump this recyclable waste in a land fill. Our recycling program has proven to save our customers money by reducing or eliminating dumpster pickups.
According to Go Green Initiative, “For every ton of paper that is recycled, the following is saved: 7,000 gallons of water; 380 gallons of oil; and enough electricity to power an average house for six months.” Call us and employ a visually impaired person, protect your private data, save money, reduce America’s dependence on foreign oil, and save the planet.
